THIS DEFINITELY CALLS FOR "WRITER/READER-INTERACTION, not to say that none of my PREVIOUS posts DIDN'T, but what I wanna throw at you is THIS: is there a difference between "COMPASSION" and "PITY?" If there ISN'T, should there be? If there IS, what is it, and are they EQUAL WITH, or OPPOSITES OF, each other, as far as POSITIVE and NEGATIVE are concerned?

Compassion is empathy with some emotional involvement while pity is feeling sorry for someone without any emotional involvement. Pity also often involves feeling that someone is in a lesser state a sad state, but the person feeling the pity says "How sad (this situation) occurred or is occurring" then goes aabout his or her business and usually doesn't look back.

PERFECT INPUT, MOMMY NIGHTBIRD! There's just ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that I could DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU ANY MORE than what I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU, NOW AND ALWAYS!
